Have you ever asked yourself one or more of the following questions:

Why cant there just be an easy way to make money online?

Can’t someone just build me a site that automatically makes money?

Isn’t there somone who can teach me everything from start to finish in an easy way?

Why do i have to pay to learn to start an internet business?

If you have ever asked yourself one of those questions… or even a similar question… this blog entry will be very eye opening and refreshing for you.

I am asked these questions on a daily basis from the visitors to my www.simplesitesbigprofits.com  website.

Why do people ask these questions?

Because most of us have a consumer type mentality.  We want the end result without any effort.  Think of all the people out there who want to lose weight.  Most of them want the end result… they want the 50 pounds to just magically fall to the floor… and they will pay thru the nose to get that result… that is why surgery is getting so much traction… because it is an end result.

The problem with this mentality is that there are no real quick fixes to starting an internet business.  You have to do the work, you have to put in the time to learn, and you have to be persistent.

The key to making this “make money online” thing work for you is to work on yourself first.

Don’t go out and buy the next “make money in ten minutes without doing anything” package… instead save your money for something that will make you better.  Perhaps a new skill like web design, or learn direct marketing skills, or go get some books on self help and better yourself.

There is a great book out there called mastery, in it the author talks about how important the journey to becoming a master of something is.  The journey teaches us and makes us stronger and better.

Any worthwhile skill takes time to learn and time to get good at.

The neat thing about taking up internet marketing is that if you find the right teacher and learn the right things you can actually make some money while you learn.

So set some goals about what you really want… Everyone “wants to make money online” why not be different, why not make some goals to learn and better yourself while starting an internet business.

As a way of saying “Thank You” for reading this post… here is a little trick that will help you get on the right track to seeing results.

step 1: find a keyword with less than 75,000 results like “compatibility for capricorn and taurus” which gets quite a few searches every day.

Step 2: set up a squidoo page and write about the keyword.

Step 3: find some affiliate programs to run that will benefit the user.

Step 4: use a rapid submit program to get it indexed fast. most of the time these pages will rank high for terms with low competition.

So there you go… try that out.

Most people will probably not do what i just said because they dont want to put in the effort.   Be different… put in the effort, and learn as you go.
