If you are unemployed and looking to start your own affiliate marketing business or design a profitable website… listen up… this is important!

Every single day someone calls my office or writes me saying something to this effect:

“i just got laid off, im unemployed, i need help, i need to make money really fast, and i don’t have the money to purchase your marketing program – can you just give me your program and ill pay you when i start making money?”

Before i go into my little rant… i want you to know that i do feel for people in this situation and have a heart to help people… but the fact of the matter is that if you want to change your situation… YOU NEED TO DO SOMETHING!

Far to many people are looking for a savior to come and save them from all their financial worries for just $27.99 – that is not going to happen… in a down economy like we have it is up to you to learn, work, and do things that you know will help.

Far too many people think that running a business is just buying a program and all the sudden money will fly out of thier computer…

TRUE – you can build a website fairly quickly

TRUE – you can turn a profit quickly if you focus on low risk – high profit activities

TRUE – this does take work… you have to do something

Affiliate Marketing and running your own business for that matter is serious… its not really something you can do half ass… you need to invest in yourself and not use this as a “LAST DITCH” attempt to save your ass.

If you are looking at this as a last ditch attempt (haphazardly) do yourself a favor and go get another job.

HOWEVER – if you are serious about doing what it takes… listen up!

9 years ago i was in a similar situation… BROKE, NO JOB, IN AND OUT OF PLACES TO LIVE, AND I HAD A BABY ON THE WAY…

So.. i set out and said F’ it… i am going to make this work… there was no IF… there was no TRY… there was only results… sometimes it was painful, sometimes i failed, sometimes something i was banking on did not work… but i did not give up… i kept on… i persisted.

I focused on doing things I KNEW would work… selling things i KNEW i could sell… because i knew that the opportunity is out there for those who dont give up.

NEVER ONCE did i purchase a training program thinking… this is it… this is the magic bullet that will make money fly out of the walls.  I only purchased things i knew would teach me something and better MY VALUE in the marketplace… the more you learn, and the more you help others… the more money you can make.

So thats what i did… i focused on being valuable to people…

I started a small SEO company designed to get local business websites ranked really really fast… and i HUSSLED… i did cold calls, i sent emails, i went to the businesses and kicked some butt…

Then when i had some results under my sleve… i leveraged myself and had other people market me… i remember one night sitting in the 2nd bedroom (office) of a house that my wife, baby, and I rented 2 bedrooms in… that was not fun… sharing a house with other people… but i remember one night i was on a conference call talking about how to rank sites on the search engines and… BAM…

Within one hour we had recieved THOUSANDS of dollars in orders… i believe it was close to 3800 in sales that hour and another 3,000 or so the next day.

THE LIGHT WENT OFF…

it was like magic… and i said the KEY here is leverage…

Leverage my time

Leverage my knowledge

Leverage my websites

And so… here i am… almost 9 years later… still NO JOB… but this time…

I have 2 houses i own

I work from home when i want

I make as much as i feel i want

I live my life on my terms… and if i ever need money i can use my leverage and “get some” whenever i want.

SO – thats a nice little story… what does it have to do with “MY” situation you may be asking…

EVERYTHING -

You can leverage yourself to make money and be your own boss.

Especially in this economy when businesses are struggling and don’t want to risk advertising dollars to try new things… you can use leverage to give them options and profit big time.

You can be a middle man and link buyers with sellers.

You can give advice on a topic online and get paid for doing so.

So what are some steps you can take RIGHT NOW to put money in your pocket?
